Introduction: Sahil Rajjak Mulla’s inspiring journey embodies resilience, determination, and entrepreneurial success. From overcoming significant challenges in his early life to establishing a successful business, his story is a testament to the power of hard work and perseverance.

From Humble Beginnings: Sahil Rajjak Mulla was born into a family that faced numerous hardships. Before his birth, his parents were displaced, compelling them to build a modest home with mud, bricks, and scrap materials. Despite these challenges, Sahil’s family, including his father, mother, and younger sister, remained strong and determined.

Sahil’s father, an arts graduate with dreams of a career in acting, faced financial constraints that hindered his aspirations. Similarly, his mother, also a graduate, struggled to find stable employment. These challenges led Sahil’s parents to start their own businesses—his father launched a photography business, and his mother worked as a ladies’ tailor. These early experiences in entrepreneurship significantly influenced Sahil’s future ambitions.

Academic and Professional Milestones: Sahil’s academic path was marked by persistence and hard work. He completed his Mechanical Engineering degree from Rayat Educational Institutes’ Karamveer Bhauaro Patil (KBP) College of Engineering in 2019. Financial struggles during his college years made it difficult for Sahil to access essential study materials, initially affecting his academic performance. However, his determination drove him to save for a smartphone, which greatly improved his studies. By his final year, Sahil graduated with distinction, ranking second in his department.

Sahil continued his education by pursuing an M.Tech degree at Veermata Jijabai Institute, Matunga, graduating in 2022. During his college years, Sahil discovered a passion for graphic design, which led him to create widely appreciated event posters for his institution.

Although Sahil initially aspired to become a professor, his career path evolved. He started as an academic before transitioning to an industrial expert lecturer role, where he continues to share his knowledge as a guest lecturer at various institutions.

The Entrepreneurial Leap: Sahil’s entrepreneurial journey began with a conversation with his friend Shivam, who suggested starting a digital marketing agency. The process of naming their venture led Sahil to draw inspiration from his father’s bike, which carried a sticker that read “Tara,” in honor of his great-grandmother, Tarabai. Known for her bravery and compassion, Tarabai’s legacy of supporting freedom fighters during difficult times inspired Sahil to name their agency TARA MEDIA WORKS.

Despite initial skepticism, Sahil believed that TARA could establish its own identity through dedication and hard work. He left his job in Pune to fully commit to his entrepreneurial dream, and TARA MEDIA WORKS was born.

Business Philosophy and Core Values: TARA MEDIA WORKS operates with a strong commitment to transparency and client privacy. Sahil’s business philosophy is centered on treating clients’ businesses with the same care and dedication as if they were his own. His guiding motto is, “It is simple to be happy, but it is difficult to be simple.”

One of Sahil’s key inspirations is the song “Ruk Jana Nahi Tu Kabhi Haar Ke” by Kishore Kumar. The song’s message of perseverance and resilience deeply resonates with him, motivating him to overcome challenges with a positive and determined attitude.
